The Production Team Leader will lead shift crew personnel to maximise volume of high-quality product at minimum costs. About the role: In this role you will: Lead and take part in SHE training, conducting communication sessions and tool box talks, ensuring JSEA's are correctly completed and safety observations are undertaken frequently. This includes mentoring/coaching individuals where necessary on SHE performance. Ensure that SHE is the first consideration in operations activities Ensure that plant equipment is serviced to an appropriate level, so that budgeted plant performance KPI's are achieved. Ensure that the quality of all work undertaken is of the highest level to minimise rework and repeat breakdowns Manage day to day work responsibilities for site operations workers, including the managing of the teams leave etc Lead the production shift teams, ensuring that they are fully trained, guided and resourced in their day to day activities such that all production activities are safely executed and agreed processing targets are achieved. Continuously review cost within area of control so that action can be taken to avoid cost blow out Manage the safety and welfare of all employees Production Teams ensuring policies and procedures are implemented and all incidents are reported and rectified in a timely manner Maintain product quality within specification in terms of performance and variability Maintain and operate plant to meet production targets within budgeted costs including the optimum use of AFR's Identify areas of improvement for direct reports. Organise cost effective training, coaching and communications to meet the identified need. Conduct annual performance review of staff reports as required. Continually promote the benefits of workforce flexibility by challenging demarcation and poor behaviour. Maintain staff skills and motivation of the production team About you: Skills & Knowledge Root Cause Analysis Good front-line leadership skills SHP Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Good communication skills Contractor Reporting Shipping/logistical knowledge  Experience 5-10+ years in an operations role within the cement industry preferred, manufacturing industry at a minimum 2+ years in front line leadership managing small to medium sized teams Qualifications Certificate 3 in Plant Processing Operations (desirable) Front End Loader, Forklift License, Gantry Crane License, RCA training (desirable) Why work for Cement Australia?
