Production Supervisor

An outstanding career opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join the Griffin Coal team.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, direction and coordination to the production crew so that production outcomes are achieved, and work completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Duties include but are not limited to:
Planning, allocating and monitoring the best use of resources to achieve operation priorities;Effectively managing crew members including job allocation, attendance and performance;Conduct daily pre-amble with crew, completing manning and attendance sheets;Identify and/or report all accidents/incidents to the Manager and undertake investigations;Set up for the oncoming shift; andEnsuring agreed targets are being achieved or exceeded.THE PERSON
The successful candidate is required to have at least 5 years experience in heavy industry or mining environments (preferably open cut). Previous experience operating haul trucks and heavy earth moving equipment is desirable. You must be able to demonstrate your past experience with people management and also have a solid understanding of JSA processes. A relevant qualification in Mining will be considered favourably, as will advanced Microsoft Skills.
THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE
Griffin Coal Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
