Sandvik Ground Support Division also provides galvanising and other related services to the mining, civil, marine, commercial, and industrial industries.
About the Role Join our team as the Production Supervisor - Galvanising, where you'll oversee the smooth and efficient running of all production and dispatch operations at our Brisbane (Narangba) galvanising plants, including both main and spin facilities.
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, this pivotal role is key to achieving budgeted production targets safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Key responsibilities include: Lead daily production and dispatch activities to ensure safe and quality output that meets plant objectives.
Ensure product is produced in accordance with expected efficiency outcomes and is compliant with specifications and standards.
Maintain compliance with work health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
Manage inventory and production in an efficient manner with minimal waste.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Oversee administrative tasks, including payroll, labor resourcing for casual and permanent staff, and daily KPI tracking.
About You To be considered for this role, you will have relevant trade or manufacturing qualifications, along with technical expertise in production processes ideally in a galvanizing or another surface coating business.
You will bring strong experience in leading teams, demonstrating the ability to engage, motivate, support, consult, and direct effectively.
Computer literacy is essential, and a Certificate IV in Frontline Management is highly desirable.
