Your new company
Our client, a local company specialised in manufacturing of products for the construction industry, is recruiting an experienced Production Site Manager to join their team in Darwin.
Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant and managing the production team, ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality products. You will ensure that production schedules are met, safety standards are maintained, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented. This is a full-time permanent role based in Darwin.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Oversee and manage all aspects of production operations, (planning, scheduling, and execution) ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality.
Coordinate with other departments (logistics, maintenance, quality control) to ensure efficient running of operations.
Lead, mentor and develop the production team, promoting a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Implement and monitor quality assurance processes and procedures, ensuring that products meet industry standards and clients' expectations.
Manage the allocation of resources to optimise production efficiency.
Prepare and present reporting on production, quality, and safety performance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need:
Significant experience within the manufacturing industry.
Previous experience in managing a team with a focus on driving performance.
Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications and experience using integrated management software.
