Darrell Lea is recruiting an experienced and motivated individual to join our Team as a Production Shift Manager on nights at our Ingleburn manufacturing facility.
No day is the same at Darrell Lea, so be prepared to be on the go. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this key role is responsible for ensuring that production occurs in the safest, most efficient, and cost-effective manner.
This role is permanent, and shifts will be Sunday through Thursday nights, generally 9pm – 6am.
About the role The Production Shift Manager will work with relevant teams for the successful delivery of the production and maintenance schedule ensuring that safety, quality, and people outcomes are delivered with the company values embedded into the daily operations.
Key Responsibilities Ensuring workplace health and safety is at the forefront of how we operate. Maintain and improve quality, food safety, and hygiene within the area of responsibility and take corrective action in response to quality, food safety, and hygiene non-compliance. Ensure that production targets are met by leading and supporting the production team. Monitor and report on KPIs. Lead Toolbox meetings. Review and report working hours of the production team. About You The successful applicant requires: A minimum of 3 years previous production leadership experience, ideally within a FMCG/Food or Beverage manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of production processes, ideally within a FMCG/Food or Beverage manufacturing environment. Sound understanding of WHS and Quality. Experience leading cross-functional teams. In addition, it's essential that you have the following: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work in an environment that is 'hands on.' Sense of urgency, deadline driven with exceptional organisational skills. Lead change and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders. Lead and support a team of production workers to ensure that production requirements are met on a daily basis. Intermediate level computer skills including use of MS Office suite.
