About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for an initial 3–6-month contract, with the potential to go permanent. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will support our Seaford operations team by overseeing the quality control and compliance, ensuring each product meets required standards. The Quality Engineer is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting quality discrepancies and leading activities to formulate solutions, thereby continuously improving production quality and efficiency.
Key duties of this role include: Identify and implement product and process improvement initiatives Fault find, troubleshoot and undertake quality investigations Revise work instructions and update as necessary Conduct incoming goods dimensional and conformity inspections Conduct supplier audits, as well as internal systems and process audits Evaluate unit warranty and returns and identify areas of greatest concern for investigation. Follow through process and close out. Formulate quality plans that will lead to product and process improvements About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least 5 years working as a Production or Quality Engineer within heavy engineering rail or associated industry Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related discipline Demonstrated experience in quality and/or warranty investigations Proven ability to drive continuous improvement across operations processes Proven analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills Highly process driven To be part of our growth and success story, apply now by clicking the 'Apply for this job' button.
