Health and Safety Clayton, Melbourne, Australia Safety, Quality and Environmental Manager Overall purpose of the job is to manage the HSE and Quality System of the plant. Maintaining and developing manufacturing systems, procedures and activities relating to HSE and quality as well as maximising customer satisfaction by establishing excellent working relationships with existing customers and ensuring their day-to-day needs are effectively met. Monday to Friday 7am – 3.30pm Clayton Location Pay rate negotiable Potential Permanent opportunity immediate start Accountability's include but not limited to. Comply with and promote the requirements of the HSE System and other related policies, procedures, rules, and instructions. Take steps to ensure that all incidents are reported. Ensures the Incident Management System – IMS is utilised for all site quality incidents, corrective actions Ensures the Noggin system is utilised for all site safety and environment incidents, corrective actions Lead and participate in risk management activities, including implementation of corrective action and improvements. Ensures that safe operating procedures are in place for all equipment within the Plant. Assist customers with label development to provide the best possible result for the customer. Maintain customer claims to a minimum. Champion of the Quality system. Required to set clearly defined quality standards amongst all personnel and ensure adherence by all. Responsible for managing all matters related to product quality and resolving quality issues with minimal impact to the business and customers. Ensure that quality requirements are implemented and maintained and that manufactured products meet customer acceptance standards by continual review of the operation and effectiveness of the Quality System. Maintain certification to ISO 9001 and ensure that day to day running and Business Management Systems are in line with requirements of the standard. Drive quality initiatives and improvements in the plant, including new technology for quality monitoring. Drive with Production Manager the Clayton site "Standard work" activities Responsible for the disposition of held stock. Keep held stock to a minimum and play an active role in spoilage reduction. Ensure that Plant Document Control Procedures are being adhered to. Continuously monitors and reviews all Safety, Environment and Quality indices to ensure required standards are being achieved. Actively promotes high quality production through presence and regular audits of product being produced. Manages the SPC program & reviews all quality areas daily – providing capability feedback to production Teams during morning meetings. Ensures all production processes at Clayton meet capability expectations – Liaises with the QFS team ensuring full system performance is always achieved. Maintain site KPI system and visual standards Measurement and reporting of suppliers' performance in accordance with the quality systems standard. Ensures site compliance to AS 4801 – ISO 9001:2008 – HACCP & Internal Environmental audit standards. Uploads all documents into the document Management System – IQMS and ensures all procedures work instructions & SOPS are developed, audited, and utilised to ensure a best practise approach Ensures the Incident Management System – IMS is utilised for all site quality incidents, corrective actions Ensures the Noggin system is utilised for all site safety and environment incidents, corrective actions Comply with and promote the requirements of the HACCP system and GMP program Acts as the plant representative for all external audits of the Quality System. Implements necessary actions as a result of the audits within agreed time frames. Establishes and maintains effective internal audits of product quality, which eliminates customer complaints, and results in actions which will improve the way in which the process is undertaken.
