Job DescriptionAs a cornerstone of SNAP14's media production process, the Production Manager is responsible for leading our production department, ensuring all projects are executed to the highest standards while meeting ambitious company goals. This position combines creative vision with strategic execution, overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of production teams, resources, and budgets. The Production Manager will foster a solution-oriented environment that balances efficiency with creativity, guiding projects from initial concept to final delivery.In addition to managing the production department and developing team members, this role will also oversee the execution of special internal projects, ensuring they align with SNAP14's standards of quality, efficiency, and elegance.Key Responsibilities:Production and Project Management:Oversee all stages of production from inception to completion, maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Manage the production team and ensure collaboration across departments, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Serve as the main liaison between clients, vendors, and team members, providing clear directives and updates.Coordinate logistics, including equipment, contracts, facilities, and resource allocation.Team Leadership and Development:Mentor, manage, and develop production assistants and other team members, guiding them toward growth within the department.Assign and manage department KPIs, track progress, and implement training aligned with individual and departmental goals.Conduct interviews for new hires, prepare job descriptions, and onboard new team members.Develop SOPs for the production department, training staff on best practices and ensuring adherence.Internal Project Management:Oversee special internal projects when they arise, coordinating resources and ensuring successful execution aligned with company objectives.Track and follow up on outstanding internal projects, resolving issues, and ensuring completion within established timelines.Operations and Financial Oversight:Develop and manage budgets for each project, tracking expenses, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring financial efficiency.Ensure all production paperwork is completed, organized, and distributed.Oversee warehouse and production inventory, maintaining equipment and supplies.Logistical Coordination and On-Set Management:Organize and set up shoot locations, managing logistics, and providing hands-on support for all departments on set.Manage crowd control, set cleanliness, and ensure all necessary arrangements for successful shoot execution.Coordinate transportation, packaging, and handling of production items.Supplier and Client Relations:Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers and clients, negotiating terms and ensuring service quality.Act as a point of contact for clients during production, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.Continuous Improvement and Issue Resolution:Identify and address any issues within the production process, implementing solutions to maintain project integrity and momentum.Represent SNAP14 at community events, workshops, and educational institutions, and provide training where applicable.Here are the job functions:Oversee the entire production process from inception to completion, ensuring projects adhere to the budget, timeline, and quality standards.
