About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and detailed Production Planner to help plan the production schedule of a state-of-the-art paint manufacturing plant in Merrifield.Flexible in your attitude and willing to help out the broader team when required, you will be responsible for the production planning activities as well as ordering raw materials and packaging for 1100+ SKUs made at the site.
This also includes creating detailed production schedules based on the plant's capabilities; maintaining product master data to reflect production routings and raw material safety stock levels; effectively developing and managing relationships with suppliers.ResponsibilitiesDevelop production plans and schedules to meet demand requirements confirmed through Sales and Operations Planning, and in line with plant capability, for 1100+ SKUs made at Dulux Merrifield.Ensure all purchase orders for raw materials and packaging are raised and successfully communicated with suppliers in a timely manner in line with the production requirements for the plant.
This includes follow-up of delivery confirmations.Effectively develop and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth purchase and delivery of raw materials and packaging and work with them to improve their supply process.Manage stock-take and cycle counting activities to ensure accurate stock levels in ERP and minimize raw material variances.Communicate safety and quality standards expected of deliveries from suppliers and manage resolution of any non-conformances.Skills & ExperienceTertiary qualifications in a technical field, ideally supply chain related discipline.Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing supply chain environments including planning and purchasing.Ability to drive and apply continuous process improvement tools.Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions.Highly proficient understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred).Strong problem-solving skills.How to applyWe are looking to speak with applicants as soon as possible.
