The Opportunity As a leading beverage manufacturer in the Oceania market, Suntory Oceania has a rich 60-year history, growing from a local juice company to a trans-Tasman beverage leader, known for its iconic range of drinks including V Energy, Suntory BOSS Coffee and Maximus.
United by Suntory's Yatte Minahare spirit, the permission to dream big and the determination to make it a reality, we are embarking on a new chapter of growth, as we partner with Beam Suntory to create Suntory Oceania, a new multi-beverage powerhouse across Australia and New Zealand.
To meet our growing customer demand, we have invested $400 million into a new state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facility in Swanbank, Queensland. This site will have the capability to produce up to 20 million cases of drinks annually and incorporates processing, packaging, warehousing and distribution. This site is cutting edge in terms of sustainability and automation and will be our world-class facility leading the way in terms of innovation and setting a benchmark for sustainable technologies and minimizing our carbon footprint in line with our 'Growing for Good' vision.
The Opportunity The Production Planner plays a key role in delivering the Supply Chain objectives across our brand-new production lines and logistics network at our start-of-the-art beverage facility. Taking ownership for the production planning and scheduling for the production lines to achieve an optimal level of safety stock cover with available capacity.
What you'll be doing In this role you will:
Deliver the weekly production schedule to our manufacturing operations, ensuring that known constraints are taken into account. Create production plans for your production lines, balancing capacity to delivery an optimal safety stock level. Develop and make recommendations to resolve constraints through the IBP process. Monitor stock levels, to ensure a high level of customer service. Participate in problem solving to understand root cause and help improve our processes. Identify and escalate risks to the plan, and work with stakeholders to mitigate risks. Collate monthly forecasts to assist suppliers with their planning process. What you'll bring As well as a positive can-do attitude, you'll demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline, e.g. Supply Chain management Business acumen (external and internal) Analytical ability to cope with a complex planning environment. Flexible attitude to cope with plan changes. Initiative to improve processes and drive to implement process change.
