Reporting to the Production Manager, in this Mon-Fri role the Production Planner will work with stakeholders to develop a site Production Plan that optimises plant efficiencies, reduces waste and minimises costs whilst achieving manufacturing KPIs in aid of order fulfilment.Site based leadership opportunityBased in Echuca, regional VictoriaSimplot's Echuca site dates back to 1978 and produces products under our Leggo's, Edgell, Chicken Tonight, Raguletto and Harvest brands.
Employing over 150 people, Simplot Echuca processes up to 15,000 tonnes of tomato paste each year, 8,000 tonnes of beetroot and has five unique packaging lines (glass jars, canning, plastic squeeze bottles, foil sachet and aseptic filling).What You Will DoManage a small team (Vendor Scheduler + Logistics Specialist)Produce and maintain a Production Plan that conforms to the Master Production Plan whilst balancing and supporting plant requirementsForecast any risk, and report exceptions to the Production ManagerPresent the Production Plan at the weekly site planning meetingsEnsure key stakeholders are briefed on the Production Plan and any resource or machinery constraintsCollaborate with the Vendor Scheduler to ensure all materials required for the Production Plan are availableReporting and data analyticsContribute to site safety & continuous improvement (CI) initiativesAbout YouHold a 100% commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplaceDemonstrated experience in Production Planning within a manufacturing environment will be highly advantageousTertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Logistics or a related disciplineExposure to Lean manufacturing methodologyHave an analytical mindset with a high level of business acumenDemonstrated ability to effectively lead teamsAbility to influence and communicate to key stakeholders at all levelsBe an intermediate / advanced user of the MS Office suite of products (particularly Excel)Experience with MRP software will be highly desirableWillingness to undergo a pre-employment medical (incl.
