Production Operator | Materials WarehouseFull-timeJob Type: PermanentLeidos delivers critical capability in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence (CBRND). We supply protection technology and training to the Australian Defence Force.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain and hold a Baseline AGSVA security clearance. We procure, inspect, test and ship various protective equipment. In addition, we train both new and existing Defence personnel to use the supplied equipment. As technology improves, so does our focus on equipment that protects and responds to developing CBRN threats.
Located at our site in Prestons and reporting to the Production Supervisor, the duties of the Production Operator include:
Load and unload containers of equipment - at times by hand (up to 20kg boxes) and/or forkliftMaintain the asset register and build recordsInspect and prepare returned equipment for laundry and minor repairsPerform basic technical tasks like equipment calibrationsRespond to customer enquiries and changes to their requirementsEnsure a safe and healthy work environment by following EHS policies and WHS Act standardsThis team operates from the site five (5) days per week. To ensure that equipment is shipped successfully to Australian Defence locations, team members travel to these locations for 1 - 2 nights to ensure they arrive.
To be considered for the position, you will be able to demonstrate the following: Completion of a High School Certificate (Year 12) or equivalentExperience in warehousing and inventory maintenanceValid Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain one)Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline AGSVA security clearanceProduction operator experience in manufacturing environments, using SOPs and process flow diagrams (desirable)At Leidos, we embrace diversity and are committed to creating a truly inclusive workplace.
