PRODUCTION OPERATOR Retail – Powders
18 month fixed term contract 12-hour shifts with a great shift roster Excellent culture, dynamic and small team Really good and competitive hourly rate The Role Bega's Koroit site manufactures a range of dairy products including skimmed and full cream milk powders, buttermilk powders, milk protein concentrate, lactoferrin powder, retail milk powders, anhydrous milk fat, liquid cream and butter. The site produces a staggering 35 tonnes of lactoferrin extract annually. Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring iron building protein found in milk, and it is regarded for its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Production Operator to join the team. You will be responsible for ensuring all production functions are carried out in an effective, efficient and timely manner and for delivering product safely, of the highest quality, at the lowest cost, with minimal waste in the correct quantity. This role specifically works across retail milk powders. Previous knowledge of this is not required to be successful in the role.
Please note this role works on shift: 12 hour shifts 6am to 6pm, three to four days a week (Mon- Wed or Mon – Thurs).
Responsibilities Safe setup and operation of all equipment in allocated area Report all safety, quality and environmental incidents and issues Accurate completion and recording of all quality, testing, and production related documentation Work effectively and efficiently to reduce downtime Training staff and assisting with assessment as required Collaboration with Cross Functional teams About you Previous experience in a Production Operator role, FMCG background desirable Forklift license and experience desirable Ability to work without supervision and take direction as required Positive attitude, attention to detail, and eagerness to develop Good communication skills and ability to work and collaborate in a team Bega Group Story Bega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
