Who will you be working with? Our client, a busy chemical manufacturing business, requires a Process Operator to join their team on a casual on-going basis. The Process Operator will carry-out general manufacturing floor duties such as labelling and packing products, operating equipment, and occasional storeperson duties. Experience working with chemicals will be highly regarded but is not necessary. What are the benefits? • Join a world class chemical manufacturer! • Friendly team environment • On-going casual position with an expanding company Duties of the role include (but are not limited to): • Labelling of containers • Packing of goods either solids or liquids (generally non-hazardous/hazardous) in accordance with appropriate Work Order Instructions with limited supervision • Knowledge of Work Order Instructions • Knowledge of standard packaging materials • Completion of documentation associated with packing requirements • Correct use and maintenance of personal protective equipment • Responsible for housekeeping in own work environment • Correctly pick and return bulk materials and packaging for re-packing operations when instructed • Competency in using mechanical filling equipment and associated equipment e.g. labelling machines, cappers • Occasional Storeperson duties • Label printing and modifications to labels as directed Essential skills and requirements: • Strong experience in a busy GMP manufacturing environment • Proven experience working as manufacturing operator with QC experience • Great team player attitude and good interpersonal skills • Good communication skills, both written and verbal + basic computer skills • Ability to learn quickly and efficiently • Great attention to detail / Takes pride in quality of work • Strong ability to work efficiently under pressure • Great team player attitude and good interpersonal skills • Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship Desirable skills: • Operation of forklift less than 5,000 kg • Completed a course in a Dangerous Goods Awareness and/or Transport of Dangerous Goods Applications in Word Format will only be considered (No PDF Documents please).
