Role Description:The Production Officer is an exciting opportunity based at our Cockburn Power Station site. Reporting to the Production Lead you will be a part of a team to provide real time management, operation, maintenance and first line response of power station plant and ancillary equipment to ensure safety of personnel and plant adhered to statutory requirements and support of Synergy's objectives.
You will be required to work a 4.5 panel shift roster. This includes working 2 days, 2 nights, then 4.5 days off. The roster cycle may be subject to review as determined by Synergy in consultation with the workgroup from time to time as per the applicable Enterprise Agreement.
Job responsibilities:Planning operational activities and requirements in coordination with the production team to optimise plant availability.Operation of the power plant in accordance with Synergy's operating procedures and standards.Management of permits in accordance with permit to work systems, then plan and execution of High Voltage switching programmes to allow for outages, maintenance activities or in emergency situations.Be involved in the planning and implementation of Cockburn outages and ensuring power plant activities are scheduled in accordance with approved programmes.Performing first line maintenance work on the combined cycle power plant; undertaking emergency and scheduled maintenance activities on plant and ancillary services.What you will bring:Trades Certificate or technical qualifications in a relevant discipline.Certificate IV in ESI Generation Operations or Equivalent.WorkSafe certification (HRWL) for Boiler Advanced (BA) and Turbine Operations (TO).Minimum of 5 years' experience in the control and operation of boilers and turbines in a Gas Turbine Combined Cycle or thermal power station.Proven knowledge of Gas Turbine Combined Cycle or thermal power station operations processes and practices.What we offer: Working for an employer of choice also means you will enjoy:
