Production Nursery Manager – Perth, Western Australia Are you an experienced nursery professional with a passion for growing diverse plant ranges and driving operational excellence?
We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Production Nursery Manager to join our rapidly expanding, multi-site nursery business in Perth!
About UsWe are a fast-growing nursery business in Perth, committed to providing a wide range of quality plants to the landscaping and retail market.
With multiple sites across the region, we are looking for an experienced manager who can bring their expertise to take our production to the next level.
The RoleAs our Production Nursery Manager, you will be the driving force behind our plant production, with a focus on strategic planning and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
Production Planning: The core of this role is strategic production planning.
You will create and implement detailed schedules, manage propagation, potting, and plant maintenance to ensure our nurseries meet the demand with top-quality plants.
Your ability to foresee market trends and adjust production accordingly will be crucial.Multi-site Management: Oversee operations across multiple nursery locations, ensuring consistency in quality and output.
This includes regular site visits, coordinating between sites, and optimising resources to maximise productivity.Inventory and Quality Control: Manage inventory levels and maintain quality standards to align with customer needs.
You will ensure optimal plant health, pest control, and irrigation practices across all sites.Market Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with the landscaping market.
By understanding customer needs, you will ensure our production aligns with market demands and trends.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of nursery staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
You will be responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations.Driving Innovation: Implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, plant quality, and operational workflows.What You Bring Experience: A minimum of 10 years in production nurseries, with at least 5 years in a management or production planning role.Planning Skills: Exceptional skills in production planning, with a proven track record of managing and optimising plant production in a fast-paced environment.Multi-site Management: Experience in overseeing operations across multiple nursery sites, including resource allocation and site coordination.Relationship Building: Strong communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with clients in the landscaping industry.Problem Solving: A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving, with the ability to innovate and improve processes.If you're ready to lead our nursery operations and drive our business to new heights, we would love to hear from you!
