About the role: Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be based in Wetherill Park, NSW and will take responsibility to provide laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication shift supervision and management of people and equipment to achieve the desired output and efficiency from the manufacturing process during the shift, at the required quality level.
Duties and responsibilities include: Manage, train and lead production staffAssist with the successful running of day-to-day productionEnsuring customer's orders are completed in full and on timeActively promote Quality Assurance/ Quality Control requirementsActively promote company Safety, Health and Environmental policies to a high standardManage production equipment, stocks and consumablesManage the continual growth of the branch production requirements and efficienciesParticipate in the induction and development of new team membersManage scheduled maintenance programs on a daily, weekly and monthly basisSupport the Operations Manager in instilling the required culture by personal instruction, example and leadershipThe successful candidate will possess: Minimum 5 years Supervisory experienceTrade Certificate III in Engineering is essentialExperience in Laser cutting, Manufacturing and Fabrication environmentsStrong interpersonal skills and leadership skillsAbility to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisationExcellent organisational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in Quality control systemsUnderstanding of safety, environment HR and IR legislationForklift licence and Driver licence is essentialPlease note that candidates must have Australian work rights and will be asked to undergo a pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
