Reporting to the Site Manager, the key purpose of this role is to manage and control site operations through ensuring a safe workplace where risks are identified, assessed and mitigated to ensure the health and safety of our employees.
Support, direct and develop site staff into an effective and reliable team.

This includes any process improvement programs.Develop site capital plans.Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems.
(OEE% Overall Equipment Efficiency & TPH) accurately recording unplanned and planned downtime, tonnes of mash and finished feed produced.Prepares reports, analyses data, promote problem solving and make recommendations for improving plant operations.Site champion with regards to Continuous Improvement program, lead and train employees.Implements programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness and conduct inspections to ensure the correct standard is maintained.Challenge the status Quo - utilise root cause analysis tools to identify and address root causes and make improvements.Schedule and plan rostering to cover production requirements.Coordinate and manage the replenishment of all Raw Material requirements for the site, working closely with the Site Replenishment resource.Ensures that employees are adequately trained and signed off as competent in their roles.
Audits the SOP/Work instructions while checking employee competency.Lead toolbox and safety discussions in the workplace, record training as required.Lead the stand up meetings and organise the preparation work associated.Quality Officer who reports to senior management and has the responsibility for ensuring that the requirements of FeedSafe certification are implemented and maintained.Participate in all site audits including HACCP, FeedSafe and quarterly safety audit.
Close out actions if required through site manager.Any other responsibilities and/or authorities as specifically designated by Operations Manager or Delegate.Key Skills Required:5+ years Industry Experience (History of working in planning manufacturing environment).A thorough understanding of the D365 and Microsoft Office systems.Strong verbal, negotiation and written communication skills.Ability to relate to all levels of management.High attention to detail.A good understanding of the business and site processes.Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation.Ability to create & oversee execution of manufacturing and delivery schedules.Sound computing skills.
