NAFFCO Australia Pty Ltd is among the world's leading suppliers of fire and life safety solutions.
We are looking for a full-time Production Manager to join our team in New South Wales.
JOB DESCRIPTION The duties for the position include: Supervising, managing, directing and overseeing production and manufacturing activities Implementing relevant NAFFCO strategies and ensuring compliance with NAFFCO policies, raising any issues with current policies, and providing consultation on any proposed changes  Monitoring status of work orders, monitoring output and ensuring completion of all work orders Managing production staff and coordinating between relevant departments to ensure that jobs are completed within the required timeframes Managing and evaluating machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime Monitoring efficiency and implementing appropriate measures to minimise expenditure and maximise productivity across all product lines Ensuring availability of required resources such as tools, parts, machinery, consumables and labour, ensuring that additional resources are obtained as needed Creating schedules and ensuring optimum staffing levels to meet production demands Ensuring employees follow industry standards as well as health and safety guidelines Establishing workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity Ensuring that Oracle records provide an accurate reflection of production activities Reporting regularly to higher management on production activities, communicating and escalating any issues as necessary Keeping up to date on developments in the production industry QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor's degree / higher qualification OR at least 5 years of relevant experience may substitute formal qualifications At-least 5 years of relevant work experience in the manufacturing industry in a managerial role Experience in firefighting equipment manufacturing plant operations – highly desired SKILLS Equipment maintenance Project management Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills Problem-solving Skills Firefighting Industry knowledge SALARY The salary for this position is $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
