We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team and lead our production operations.
The Production Manager will oversee the daily manufacturing processes for our vitamins and supplements, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency and safety. This role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and will be responsible for managing both production and packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities: Experience working within policies & procedures, and understanding of compliance, in relation to regulatory bodies' legislation including cGMP, TGA, AQIS, NSW Food Authority, HACCP, Chain of Responsibilities and Management etcEnsure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required qualityApprove instructions relating to production operations and ensure their strict implementationEnsure production records are evaluated and signed by an authorised person before sending to the Quality Control DepartmentCheck the maintenance of the department, premises and equipmentEnsure that the appropriate validations are doneEnsure to provide the required initial and ongoing training to new starters and existing staff, ensuring they are fully equipped to perform their roles efficiently and adhere to safety and quality standards.Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP).Work with the HR Team to provide support with the recruitment process for new production staff and replacements, ensuring effective resourcing, onboarding and induction.Work closely with R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure new products are successfully launched and production processes are scalable.The authorisation of written procedures and other documents, including amendmentsThe monitoring and control of the manufacturing environment Ensure the company policy and procedure, SOPs, OHS, and any related government legislative requirement such as GMP are updated and adhered to The approval and monitoring of suppliers of materials The designation and monitoring of storage conditions for materials and productsThe inspection, investigation, and taking of samples, in order to monitor factors which may affect product qualityAd hoc duties to managing and coordinating projects, renovation, machines etc for the production departmentsQualifications, Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Science, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in production managementBilingual (English and Mandarin) would be an advantage Production planning work scheduling and project management experienceGood knowledge in batch processingLean manufacturing skillsSound knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and other related legislative standards and regulatory including GMP and TGA regulationsComputer literate with effective skills in MS suite of productsStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Nature's Care is a leading natural health care brand with state-of-the-art production facilities on the Northern beaches of Australia.
