About the Opportunity
As a Production Manager, you will be trained on how to manage and control the automated systems and automated robotic handling equipment, meet and manage stakeholder needs, and maintain our high safety and operational standards.
The successful candidate will develop the skillset required to conduct an automation management role within Patrick.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the operational management of the automation systems and equipment to achieve scheduled productivity targets.
Management and oversight of operational workflows that relate to automated equipment through Terminal Operating Systems.
Ensure performance issues are addressed in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Liaison with Terminal management to ensure operating goals are achieved and participate and contribute to the ongoing development of the automated system.
Drive a positive safety culture that aligns to the Patrick values.
Strive to innovate within the Production Manager role to advance the capabilities of automation within Patrick Terminals.
About Your Experience and Skills
We are looking for applicants who are interested in pursuing a career in Automation within Patrick Container Terminal Operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to process complex information, a high level of safety awareness, a strong customer focus, an exceptional capacity for leadership, and an excitement for automation.
Candidates applying for this role will ideally have a minimum of 5 years experience in a challenging field or relatable experience, a resilient personality, excellent stakeholder management skills, the drive for constant improvement, be a pragmatic multitasker, industrious and the capability to lead by example.
To be considered for this opportunity you should have the following:
Experience working within industry such as Operational Technology, Maritime, Road Transport, Logistics, Manufacturing, Mining, Aviation or Defence, IT Robotics.
An interest in Automation and Real Time Systems.
Advantageous experience working within a control room environment.
Working knowledge of terminal operating systems.
Background in information technology highly considered or tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
Strong stakeholder influencing skills to align common objectives across diverse work groups.
Experience working in high pressure environments, whilst making sound decisions.
Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
A proclivity for strategy games or management sims.
Availability for rostered shift work across 24-hours/7-days per week.

Must be eligible to obtain an MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card).
