Our core business is in the manufacture, installation, and support through service and spare parts, of Liquid Filling Machines and associated machinery such as Conveyors, Tables, and Cappers.We supply many different industries including Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Cleaning, Chemical, and Cosmetic, operating throughout Australia.Due to a new vacancy within our team, we are looking for an experienced Head of Production.To be considered for this role you will be able to:Review workload and plan production schedule for jobs that meet customer deadlines.Maintain regular meetings with shop floor staff to manage progress and efficiency.Lead operations team and manage labour and material resources to meet production target dates.Review and communicate adjustments to the production schedule where needed. Advise Sales & Customer Service Coordinator of any delivery date changes.Develop, implement, and monitor compliance to all SOPs for production.Ensure that the above standard operating procedures are adhered to.Ensure product quality standards are maintained.Determine and implement improvements to the production process as required.Prepare and maintain production reports as required to keep management informed of production schedule status.Work with Account Manager to investigate, negotiate, and select suppliers for materials and parts.Make recommendations regarding equipment use and maintenance.Monitor and review the performance of direct reports and work with the General Manager to address any performance, training, or promotion requirements.Work with Office Manager to load, organize and develop MRP Easy software (Manufacturing Resource Planning). This tool will be predominantly used to manage Bill of Materials, Stock Levels and COGS.Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner, that meet OHS legislation requirements and maintain adequate OHS records as required.Coordinate factory floor housekeeping and general appearance.Ensure critical relationships are maintained through efficient collaboration and coordination. Areas of focus include Customer Service, Product Development, and Sales.Oversee the development of Apprentice staff.Coordinate relevant training sessions.Deliver the ASSET Packaging Machine's brand attributes of quality and reliability in everything you do.You will have:An Australian recognised Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similarMinimum 5 years Manufacturing industry experienceMinimum 2 years in a Management positionA valid Australian Driver's LicenseExcellent organisational and time management skillsAttention to detailExperience using Outlook and ExcelExperience with Manufacturing Resource Planning software essential.
