About the Role: As a Production Manager at Minetek, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. You will be responsible for managing and leading a dynamic team, optimizing production workflows, and contributing to the growth and success of the company.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to): Overseeing production to guarantee compliance with customer specifications, service levels, and quality standards.Exceeding set operational targets, monitoring expenditure and performance whilst identifying opportunities for improvement to process efficiency.Ensuring all production activities meet legislative and regulatory requirements associated with WHS and the environment.Providing continuous feedback, mentoring, and guidance to production staff, supporting skills development and performance improvement in accordance with business expectations.Budget management and influencing applicable cost reduction initiatives, without sacrificing the consistency of company quality standards.Investigating problems that arise during the manufacturing process, analyzing root causes and implementing pre-emptive solutions.Quality control of manufacturing processes and technical support for production equipment and systems.Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to management.Requirements: Supervisory expertise, formal training, and previous experience working within a production and heavy industrial environment.A thorough knowledge of equipment assembly and installations, with the ability to diagnose faults and provide technical evaluation of mechanical systems and equipment.A desire to continually seek efficiency and quality improvements with production, design, and manufacturing standards.An ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to changing technical/business priorities.Proficient in the use of MS Office, contemporary ERP systems, and their application in the use of operational processes.Highly organized, logical, deadline-driven with an ability to see and operate with the big picture forefront of mind.Strong decision-making, negotiation, and influencing skills with a results-driven approach.Culture and Benefits: Minetek is an organization with strong company values, a business that cares about the personal and professional development of its employees.
