Your new role This position is based in the Launceston region of Northern Tasmania. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the provision of a range of management and supervisory processes, as well as day-to-day operation of the bakery. You'll ensure efficient and compliant operations including all aspects of food safety and food compliance programs. You will: Implement and supervise all HACCP, food safety, quality and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe and hygienic workplace, coordinating toolbox meetings and WHS training for all employees Support the production supervisors and leading hands with team performance Implement training programs and induction processes across the site Monitor equipment maintenance processes to ensure minimal downtime Set targets and schedules adhering to budgets, product targets, staff rostering and daily operation records. What you'll need to succeed An experienced Production Manager with excellent communication and people skills, to be considered for this role, it is essential that you hold relevant baking qualifications and/or at least 5 years' baking experience in a manufacturing site. You also have: A strong understanding of HACCP principles and training requirements. Good computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems. The ability to lead, manage and motivate teams. Strong literacy and numeracy skills The ability to set and meet targets Excellent WHS experience and knowledge, including standard operating procedures Experience with quality management systems and SOP's.
