Oreco Group have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join our expanding manufacturing facility in Childers, QLD.
We are seeking a full-time Production Manager to join our team.
This position will see you become a part of a high performing team within our Manufacturing team.
Based near Childers in Isis Central, ORECO Group is a privately owned manufacturing company, which produces a diverse range of horticultural and agricultural products throughout Australia.
Oreco Group's sole focus is to produce the best quality products while supporting local and regional businesses and communities by sourcing recycled, eco-friendly and sustainable raw materials.
The Role: The Production Manager is responsible for all strategies, people, resources, and processes necessary to optimize the manufacture and quality of all products, from field to sales, in a safe and cost-effective manner whilst meeting production and quality targets.
Additional or alternate duties may be assigned from time to time dependent on the incumbent's skills or development needs, or as required to suit the needs of the business.
Skills and Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a production role in a manufacturing industrial environment.Demonstrated ability to lead diverse workgroups.Demonstrated working knowledge and application of Workplace Health & Safety Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.Trade qualifications – mechanical / electrical is advantageous.Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, manage and deliver projects to time, quality, and cost criteria.An ability to understand and interpret drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to assess time/cost/labour estimates for projects and services.Core Responsibilities: Support a process-driven Production Team.Work closely with the General Manager of Operations and the Management Team to meet safety, environment, production, quality, and cost targets.Manage the development of safety, environment, production, and quality plans and financial objectives.Lead the delivery of production targets across allocated areas of operations.Establish and drive achievement of site production objectives.Identify opportunities for improving the system and process framework used for current and future production operations.Encourage others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities, facilitating the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.Identify and implement improved work practices, work methods, and work team flexibility.Develop and implement appropriate production budgets for the area of responsibility to optimise production sustainability and ensure financial objectives are achieved.Manage all production activities related to safety, environment, manufacturing, and quality.Support the ordering and inwards goods receivals for all production-related consumables.Contribute to the longer-term availability and productive capacity of the Production Team talent pool by sponsoring training and development initiatives and by coaching/counselling personnel.Advance the company's interests and avoid interruptions to work by maintaining effective internal and external relationships.Provide leadership support as part of the Management Team.Ensure compliance with relevant business codes of conduct, statutory Acts, and regulations.Attributes: Self-motivated and able to work autonomouslyWell-presented and professional attitudeAble to effectively network with growersHigh level of personal organisationWhat's on offer: A fantastic opportunity to join an Australian owned company undergoing an exciting growth stageSupportive and friendly team environmentAn opportunity to take your career to the next levelMix of on the road, manufacturing based and office-based workOpportunities to grow and develop within a fast-paced, sustainably focused and progressive companyHow to apply: If the above sounds like your ideal role, please click 'apply' and include your updated cover letter and resume.
