About this Opportunity: We are seeking a results-driven and strategically minded Production Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for leading our production supervisors and team, whilst driving continuous efficiency improvements within our facility. This role will manage the Potato and Onion packing operation based in Virginia.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations of the processing facility, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to achieve operational goals, objectives, and KPIs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Manage the performance and development of Production Supervisors, fostering a culture of discipline, teamwork, and excellence. Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment. Plan and organize production schedules effectively. Manage inventory levels to ensure appropriate stock levels and rotation. Monitor production performance and KPIs, including safety, quality, DIFOT, and productivity. Facilitate effective communication between production, logistics, QHSE, and our farming team. Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Production Manager in an FMCG environment. Food manufacturing experience, particularly with short shelf life products. Proven leadership experience in food production facilities. Strong ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members. Capable of managing multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with HACCP compliance. Why Join Us?
