Production Manager

Production, Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)We are searching for a Production Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing, innovative food manufacturer, focused on providing customers with quality flavours and ingredients. This person will be a key member of the Operations team with responsibility for the delivery of the manufacturing plan whilst on site. The Production Manager has accountability to drive performance of the team in delivering the strategic plan by creating and supporting a high performing group.Your exceptional leadership experience will develop team performance through training, and development, and performance management to deliver compliance to safety, quality, plan attainment and cost standards. In addition, you will lead manufacturing improvement through implementation of continuous improvement techniques.Key Responsibilities include:Delivery of the manufacturing plan ensuring teams' compliance to all manufacturing standards including safety, quality, GMP and costProvide leadership and direction for your teams, developing them through training and development into a high performing team levelEstablish effective communication mechanisms with other site support functions especially Maintenance/EngineeringSupport the development & implementation of the OH&S, Hygiene and Environmental programs for the manufacturing functionLead and drive the Continuous Improvement plans for your teamAbout you:Relevant Tertiary Qualifications OR demonstrated industry experience in food manufacturing leadership rolesMechanical aptitude and experience highly regardedExcellent leadership skills, leading from the front in a hands on styleExperience meeting Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, Internal and External Auditing requirementsLean ManufacturingLogical, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesPlanning and organisingThis is an opportunity to lead an experienced team and ensure their collaborative culture continues.
