Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)We are seeking applications for the role of Production Manager who will oversee our manufacturing and refurbishing operations for fuel tanks based at our Port of Brisbane site . Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment. This role requires a strong background in production management, process optimization, quality assurance, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.Coordinate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.Establish and enforce quality control standards for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality specifications and industry standards.Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and waste minimization.Collaborate with engineering, fabrication and maintenance teams to implement new technologies, equipment upgrades, and automation solutions.Lead and mentor a team of trade professionals, production and scheduling staff.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.Skills and experience .Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Strong knowledge of production processes, quality management systems, and best practice manufacturing principles.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Excellent communication and strong organisation skills with the ability to work within a small team and with minimal supervision.Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality standards applicable to fuel tank manufacturing.Competitive salary plus superFree onsite parkingBenefits program with a variety of staff discountsVehicle salary packagingEmployee referral bonus programDown to earth friendly teamAbout the companyIOR is a family-owned business based in Brisbane, which has been fueling Australia's industries for nearly 40 years.
