About the role The Production Manager role is a Full-Time position, based at Coopers Plains, QLD .
Reporting to Operations Manager you will provide people and process leadership to the Gyprock Coopers Plains Production teams, ensuring the team's health & safety, the environment, and CSR's code of conduct are never compromised.
In this role, you will: Lead and manage the production team (24/hr x 5 days a week operation).
Ensure shareholder value is achieved by delivering all CSR's safety, sustainability, customer service, product quality and plant performance targets for the Coopers Plains production activities.
Ensure adherence with all Site Safety requirements, including PSIs, incident reporting / investigations and completing all corrective actions.
Collaborate with Supervisors and Production employees as well as other parts of the areas including Process improvement and Engineers.
Demonstrate ownership on process and provide improvement strategies.
Have excellent people management and problem-solving skills as technical support will be required.
What you bring to the role Demonstrated progressive experience in a production or process technical role in a similar industry.
A strong commitment to safety awareness Tertiary qualifications in Process Engineering or related subject.
Leadership & motivational experience & knowledge (people person) Knowledge & Production experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement program Problem solving ability with attention to detail.
