We are seeking an experienced, motivated and process driven fashion Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing and production for one of our key brands product collections on a 6-month contract.
You will work closely with our preferred suppliers to uphold our quality standards, meet pricing and margin targets, and manage critical timelines. As the Production Manager, you will also supervise our Production Assistant, guiding their growth and ensuring efficiency across critical path timeline.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, be highly organised with an exceptional eye for detail and be a proactive and solution-oriented problem solver, approaching new ideas with curiosity and a drive to explore multiple options.
You will be responsible for: Developing, managing, and maintaining critical path and production schedules with suppliers and the in-house team to facilitate timelines for design, development, SMS sampling, approvals and bulk shipments.Managing PPS schedule for production coordinators and designers (as part of the critical path) and providing weekly reports on progress.Supplier management including obtaining quotes and negotiating costing, allocating products, overseeing and evaluating performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards.Providing guidance and advice on NAR's licensed brands in regard to design, construction, and embellishments to achieve best price and execution.Managing and mentoring the Production Assistant, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Collaborating and partnering with designers and merchandisers to accurately reflect customer briefs in tech packs, specs and in AP21.About You: Proven experience working in a similar role in a fast-paced product development environment.Experience working with both offshore and local manufacturing.Ability to develop technical quality standards, rules and practices.Sound understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape.Experience in USA or domestic sports league apparel favourable but not essential.Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Production, or Quality Control.Experience working with both cut and sew and woven product essential.Strong understanding of garment construction, size specifications, garment fitting and print/ embellishment execution.Proficiency in MS Office, specifically in Excel and Adobe Illustrator.About Us Nick Auditore Represents (NAR) began its journey in 2012 to become the partner of choice for American and domestic Sports Apparel brands for Australia & New Zealand.Our mission is to passionately champion and commercially optimize every brand we represent.
