About the role
This role involves operating, monitoring and cleaning production machinery to ensure efficient and safe processing of materials for optimal mushroom cultivation.
The operator will collaborate with the production team to meet quality and productivity standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
Role and Responsibilities
Operate production machinery including the head filling machine and empty machine.
Operate production machinery safely and efficiently, including mixing and preparing the growing medium and applying casing materials.
Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimal room filling parameters.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene by regular cleaning of equipment.
Report any machinery maintenance issues to the Production Manager.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards while supporting the team in achieving production goals.
Assist with general duties and collaborate with team members.
Physical fitness and mechanical aptitude are essential for this role.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience operating production machinery in an agricultural or industrial setting is preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Understanding of environmental controls for mushroom production or similar agricultural processes.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks, including lifting, mixing, and cleaning.
