You will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations across two manufacturing lines while maintaining high-quality standards, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and leading daily activities from pre-start checks to quality assurance.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 14 across two production lines, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.Production Oversight: Perform pre-operation activities, including equipment set-up and quality checks, to ensure smooth and timely production runs. Monitor performance and adjust operations to optimize OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).Continuous Improvement: Implement and refine standardized work processes, focusing on waste reduction and increasing operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety and workplace health regulations (WHS&E) and guidelines. Conduct regular safety checks, report hazards, and ensure all team members comply with relevant legislation.Maintenance & Quality Control: Supervise and support teams to ensure daily maintenance tasks are completed and quality control standards are consistently met. Take proactive measures to address any operational issues that may arise during the production cycle.Communication & Collaboration: Maintain clear and open communication with the production team, the operations manager, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and a high standard of quality.Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties as needed that align with your skills and experience, in support of the production objectives.Essential Requirements:Valid Forklift License and Driver's LicenseProven experience in lean manufacturing practices and safety awarenessStrong understanding of mechanical operations and production proceduresExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesHands-on, proactive approach with a can-do attitudeStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric focusThis is an exciting opportunity to lead a motivated production team in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
