Pure Mushrooms is a family-owned business since 1992. In 2018 Pure Mushrooms opened a state-of-the-art composting facility named Pure Compost located in Port Wakefield. We supply high-quality compost to our mushroom farm in Woodcroft, South Australia. Our composting facility has the capacity of producing 200 tonnes of ready to grow mushroom substrate per week and our mushroom farm produces 45 tonnes of mushrooms weekly, providing to major retailers and wholesalers across Australia.
About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic, easy going and safety-conscious person to join our Composting Facility in Port Wakefield as a Production Labourer/Machine Operator.
You will be working closely within a small team & you will work alongside passionate people who are the heart of everything we do. You need to be committed to delivering quality work and not be afraid to get dirty. If you're someone who takes initiative, has a can-do attitude who likes to work with heavy machinery than this may be the role for you.
Duties and Responsibilities Operate front-end loaders (over 100 kW)Operate skid steer, forklifts, and other industry-specific machineryUnload straw bales from trucksMove dry and wet straw bales to the mixing areaTransport and relocate mushroom compost in bunkers and on aerated concrete slabsWash and clean machines and work areasMonday to Friday work scheduleTypically, a 40-hour workweekCasual (6 months) transitioning to full-time with full-time conditions at casual hourly rateCasual, friendly and passionate work environment within a small teamExperience & Qualifications Reliable transport to come to workPreferably Skid steer licensePreferably Forklift licenseJoin our dedicated team and contribute to producing top-quality mushroom compost in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
