Berry Sweet was established in the early 1990's by Anthony & Lee-Anne Yewers.
Starting off as a strawberry farm in Bullsbrook, north of Perth, supplying the local market in Western Australia, we now grow Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries & Blueberries in three locations supplying Australia's major supermarkets.
We are currently seeking a Production Horticulture Supervisor to join our team at our Pemberton farm.
The main responsibilities are:
Organizing and supervising staff on a day-to-day basis with the ability to work confidently across all crop varieties and sections.
Ensuring crops are ready to harvest and commence post-harvest plans as per schedule.
Coordination of work site activities such as transport and storage of fruit, operations of machinery and equipment, and regulating crops.
Managing quality and presentation of products to ensure minimal damage by ensuring the correct soil moisture, conditions, and pest control applications are used effectively.
Communicating with management and other supervisors.
Ensuring that harvesting equipment is correctly maintained and preventing any potential damage to mechanical equipment by ensuring the correct equipment is used.
Requirements
At least an AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV.
A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a supervisor role.
Experience operating and maintaining farm machinery.
Ability to supervise with a hands-on attitude.
Team-oriented and flexible to undertake a variety of tasks.
Able to work on weekends and holidays.
Ability to work with management and office personnel, and warehouse teams.
Obey safety protocol.
Based at our Pemberton farm.
Salary
$73,500 per annum + Superannuation
