This is a highly rewarding and challenging role, located in our Mount Waverley Office within our Dual Occupancy Estimating and Pre-Site Operations Team, working alongside Pre-Site Managers, Permits and Drafting. Reporting to the Group Production Estimating Manager, your responsibilities will include: Continued focus on obtaining the best possible value (price vs. quality) in materials specified and usedEnsure all site files contain clear and accurate information and that they are prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with the predetermined scheduleImplement effective cost control measures into the master BOQ's and ensure accurate and complete Bills of Quantities are maintainedMaintain a sufficient level of labour and material contractors and suppliers to undertake budgeted works within the required timeframesPromote a customer first culture and ensure internal customer expectations are metBe aware of Management expectations on production and outputParticipate in effective communication with construction staff and administration staffComplete all required reports on a regular basis; andAssist other Operational team members wherever possible. The successful candidate will have: Prior estimating experience within Australian Residential HousingAt minimum a Diploma in Building Construction is essential, a Degree in an equivalent course is an added advantageReasonable trade background is an advantageWorking knowledge of construction processes and detailsCompetent Microsoft Office suite computer skills, particularly in ExcelWorking knowledge of an estimating system is an advantage; andA GREAT ATTITUDE How to apply: If you feel you have the knowledge, skills and experience to excel in this role, then apply with your Cover Letter and Resume.
