Production EstimatorAs a Production Estimator, you'll be integral to the success of residential construction projects, ensuring precise cost assessments and seamless execution. This role involves producing accurate bills of quantities, preparing purchase orders, and collaborating with teams to maintain consistency across tenders, drawings, and project details.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed bills of quantities for materials, labor, and other expenses to support budgeting and feasibility analysis.Liaise with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive quotes and negotiate favorable terms to enhance project profitability.Generate purchase orders for trades and suppliers and create budget orders for project reference.Calculate preliminary profit margins and monitor expenses to ensure adherence to approved budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities.Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to assess project requirements, specifications, and scope.Coordinate with drafting teams, contractors, and customer service consultants to ensure clear communication and project alignment.Collaborate with the Extra to Schedule (ETS) officer to address unaccounted charges and implement measures to prevent margin erosion.Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, contracts, and project documents.Stay updated on advancements in estimating software and industry practices.What You'll Need to Succeed: Qualifications in Residential Building, Building Studies, or Estimating/Quantity Surveying (preferred).A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Production Estimating role within residential construction.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Analytical skills and the ability to maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Benefits: Discounts on building your own home.Access to novated lease options.Generous employee referral bonuses.Discounts on household appliances, building materials, and furniture.Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.Paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers.Recognition programs with rewards for outstanding performance.Access to Employee Assistance Programs for personal and professional support.Please call Miller Langford-Ely on 0466 806 871 for more information or email your CV to ******.
