About the RoleWe are looking for a Production Engineer to join our Technical Services team to develop safe and efficient mine schedules to support the operational teams.
The position is currently offered on a 7 days on/ 7 days off roster.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Develop and oversee implementation of weekly mining schedules (rolling 6 week) in line with forecast operational targetsDirect and lead members of the technical and operational mining teams to ensure aligned priorities through clear concise communication.Monitor execution of the weekly schedule to drive compliance and maintain focus on critical path activitiesOptimise mine schedules through close collaboration with peers and operational team membersEffectively communicate planning outputs to internal and external stakeholdersDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to deliver key schedule outcomesOur team has an exceptional culture where success across the group is celebrated, and work/life balance is appreciated.
About YouAs the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or similar and relevant experience in an open cut mining operation.
You will be required to liaise, negotiate and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders, so effective collaboration, stakeholder engagement and communication skills are critical.
You will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and value the importance of building team culture through regular collaboration with team members and key stakeholders.
A strong working knowledge of the following is preferred: Deswik/Vulcan or similar CAD softwareSPRY or similar scheduling softwareMicrosoft Office SuiteOn offer to you: This is a unique opportunity to have a rewarding career in a sought after lifestyle location.
