This role reports to the Production Engineering Manager.
Where is the position located? This is a full-time role based in Welshpool.
What will your typical day look like? Collaborate with production to develop plans that improve production and meet budget objectives.Design and develop tooling to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and repeatability.Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance safety, reliability, quality, or labor reduction.Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training to eliminate deficiencies.Evaluate production flow and facility usage and implement solutions to improve production efficiencies.Analyze all facets of production and make recommendations for improvement.Provide guidance on process approval, project management planning, and implementation of capital investment projects.Occasional domestic and international travel outside ordinary business hours may be required.Ability to lead and function in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization.Demonstrable application of LEAN methodologies within a production environment is desirable.Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production and sharing updates with co-workers.What do we want to know about you? Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.Current professional registration/licensing.Knowledge of Epicor or a similar ERP system.Proficiency in MS Office.Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma.CAD Software Experience.3 years' experience in Engineering within the manufacturing industry is desirable.Above average analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Superb written and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership qualities including the ability to maintain confidentiality.Application close on Friday 26th July but screening will start sooner, apply now!
