About the Role Broadmeadow is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people, 34 kilometres north of Moranbah. It is a longwall underground coal operation.
We are currently seeking a Production Engineer to join the team. Reporting to the Production Engineering Superintendent, you will be responsible for analysing data, developing solutions to problems, and managing improvement projects to support the growth of Broadmeadow Mine. You will use your engineering expertise to draw conclusions and provide technical expertise to the production and mine planning teams.
Key Responsibilities: Work directly with Production Execution Superintendents to oversee performance and manage the pipeline of improvement initiatives.Analyse performance data and provide performance reporting for production teams.Liaise with frontline teams to ensure that new ideas are developed and practically implemented.Use your data analysis skills to provide time usage assumptions for short range forecast and two-year budget processes.Identify opportunities to update or develop standardised work procedures for core processes within production departments.Support Production Superintendents to manage department budget compliance and forecasting.About You: Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Engineering or an aligned discipline advantageous.Exposure to underground mining is preferable.Experience with the implementation of continuous improvement projects with sound financial and commercial acumen.The ability to analyse data and provide insights and solutions to impacts on performance.Familiar with production delay accounting systems such as Corvus or Ampla would be advantageous.About our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
