This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Production & Distribution Scheduler. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role schedules the manufacture and distribution of all customer bulk & packaged finished feed requirements as per Ridley Standardised Production & Distribution Procedures. It is responsible for maintaining full traceability of production activities and ensures that deliveries are coordinated to meet customer expectations and mill efficiency requirements. The key responsibilities for this position include: Comply with relevant OHS/WHS legislation including: Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of persons who may be affected by their actions (or omissions). Supervise and participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of employees in consultation with Manager. Attend and participate in all relevant training and personal development. Actively participate in planned site meetings. Compliance with relevant HACCP requirements, ensuring activities comply with the program and assisting manage the maintenance of HACCP accreditation. Understanding and awareness of Feed Safe, ensuring activities comply with the program and assisting to manage the maintenance of Feed Safe accreditation. Actively involved in site CI program on site. Monthly completion of GMP audits and entry into Feed Track. Coordinate Return to Work plans for employees. Daily Production and Distribution Scheduling and Quality: Review & action as required previous & current Mill Schedules & Trip Plans. Prepare Rough Cut Planning sheets for upcoming schedule and co-ordinate optimal outcomes for capacity and customer issues in conjunction with Site Manager and production team. Liaise with Transport on plans and distribute Trip Plans when finalized. Prepare optimised detailed Mill Production Schedule using required process and tools. Develop and maintain Production scheduling & planning data. Ensure optimised detailed Mill Production Schedule is executed to mill staff required to process and tools. Monitor finished feed weights - Ensure that weights of all manufactured feed fall within acceptable limits and out of tolerances are investigated and reported prior to leaving site. Daily completion of Batch Reconciliations. Monitor On Hand Raw Material quantities and advise replenishment of any shortages / requirements. Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems (OEE% Overall Equipment Efficiency & TPH). Prepare reports, analyses data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and problem solving. Actively support the CI program implementation. Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of employees (KPI's). Participate in all site audits including HACCP, Feed Safe and quarterly safety audit. Close out actions if required through site manager. Actively participate in Daily Stand Up meetings. Follow and Complete Monthly Testing schedule. Assist with site Safety Management Plan. Management of the site formulations, comply with company timelines. Any other responsibilities and/or Authorities as specifically designated by Site Manager or Delegate. The key skills required for this role include: A thorough understanding of the MS Dynamics AX and Microsoft Office systems. Strong verbal, negotiation and written communication skills. Ability to relate to all levels of management. High attention to detail. A good understanding of the business and site processes. Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation. Ability to create & oversee execution of manufacturing and delivery schedules. Sound computing skills. Able to work in Office and Microsoft AX programs. Ability to work under pressure. 5+ years' experience working in planning manufacturing environment. Detailed Production Scheduling experience (desirable).
