The role The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting the production team in the planning, coordination, and execution of production activities. This role ensures that production schedules are met, resources are efficiently utilized, and quality standards are maintained. The Production Coordinator will work closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process. The role will be 60% hands-on.
Although this is a nightshift-based role, you will be working a Monday to Thursday roster finishing at 01:00 AM.
Areas of responsibility Work with other coordinators and planners to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow. Perform tasks in a safe manner, adhering to Mines Regulation and company safety policies. Carry out repairs, maintenance, and fault diagnostics on heavy-duty plant equipment following site policies. Provide feedback to improve planning, efficiency, and equipment integrity. Conduct job safety audits and detailed audits on customer components. Work towards meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the company. Participate in the implementation of new products and provide relevant feedback. Actively promote the company, its services, and maintain a strong reputation. Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and industry standards in all production activities. Supervise employees and oversee new starter area inductions, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance logs, and complete paperwork in a timely manner. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or other issues affecting efficiency. Assist with apprentice training and undertake self-development as required. Contribute to achieving business targets by managing expenses within budgets and ensuring compliance with job costing and schedules. Record and report all warranty claims, ensuring high standards of warranty reporting and liaising with internal stakeholders on claims progress. Your profile The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and safety-conscious professional with extensive experience in heavy-duty plant equipment maintenance, repair, and fault diagnostics. This candidate will be adept at working collaboratively with teams, conducting detailed audits, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations. They should possess strong leadership and supervisory abilities, with a proven track record of achieving key performance indicators and promoting continuous improvement. With excellent problem-solving skills, they will effectively manage resources, maintain accurate documentation, and support financial targets. A proactive team player, they will be dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, quality, and innovation while delivering exceptional customer service.
