About the Role
Reporting to the Factory Operations Manager, you will join our dynamic and growing team to oversee all operational aspects of processing, cracking, colour sorting and finishing rooms at our Bundaberg macadamia factory.
You will work closely with the production team leaders and operators to oversee and coordinate work processes, machinery operations and the quality and volume of output.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Oversee nuts received, allocation, drying, bagging, cracking and curing processes Effectively overlay quality and safety requirements with processing requirements Ensure SWPs are followed to maintain a high standard of product quality including controlling and curing of silos Provide support and work with the teams to achieve daily and weekly operational KPIs Actively communicate and work closely with team leaders, quality and maintenance teams to identify inefficiencies and reduce bottlenecks Maintain accurate records for the different areas under your responsibility Provide training to production team members Help roll out new or revised procedures and programs to all team members Create an environment for open communication to allow team members to share their ideas Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment Commitment and strong focus on safety and quality Demonstrated accuracy working with numerical data and calculations Proven experience leading a team A solution-focused approach towards your work Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment Good communication skills both verbal and written Can competently use Microsoft applications (particularly Excel) The ability to participate in ongoing training and be open to new ideas Availability to work weekends when required Experience working in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment Underpinning knowledge of food processing Working knowledge of GMP and quality management systems Driver's Licence About us
