We are looking for an experienced Product Technologist to join our R&D team based in our Wahgunyah Factory, the home of Nestlé Uncle Toby's Snacks and Cereals. This role will deliver product R&D operational support to the region (Asia, Oceania, and Africa) while participating in the global product development community. Partner with NRSA and quality to deliver compliant product solutions that meet the business needs.
A day in the life… Reporting to the R&D Senior Manager, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead project teams to deliver optimal product solutions (key product attributes, nutritional requirements, recipe costs, etc.) as defined by the cross-functional team.Simultaneously lead multiple regional new product development projects leveraging internal and external stakeholders.Organize the necessary analysis, trials, and assessments. Facilitate factory trials on-site and/or virtually as needed.Collaborate closely with fellow product development colleagues to ensure rapid knowledge sharing and enable the scale of the global R&D organization.Contribute to the global R&D community through sharing results while collaborating across the technical community.Uphold all Nestlé Standards and R&D values and safety standards, helping to build a positive safety culture within the centre.What will make you successful Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be self-motivated, proactive, and have a proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment.Enjoy working within cross-functional teams in a dynamic work environment.Bachelors or Master's degree in food science, chemical engineering, food technology/engineering, or similar.5 years in Product Development, preferably in a food-related environment.Practicing knowledge of ingredients, food science/chemistry, financial impact of formulation, and process equipment leveraged by CPW or similar CPGs.Excellent communication and presentation skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.Passionate about working for Nestlé and sharing its purpose.Previous experience and familiarity working with SAP preferred.A working understanding of Australian Food Regulations is beneficial.Understanding of and commitment to Safety, Health, Environment, Food Safety, and Quality.Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including but not limited to health checks, prior to appointment to this role.
