About the Team
Our Product organization drives innovation and excellence, delivering transformative digital experiences and impactful solutions that power transactions globally. As part of our Strategic Expansion team under Worldpay's Product organization, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating our international growth ambitions. This role involves leading cross-functional initiatives, performing in-depth analyses, and developing strategic market propositions to support our global product and business expansion.
What You'll Own Market Proposition and Product Strategy Development: Partner with the Market Development Director to identify emerging e-commerce payment products and enhance Worldpay's existing merchant solutions. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in these areas.Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies for designated markets. Create compelling value propositions and collaborate with internal stakeholders to secure a competitive edge.Project Management: Oversee product initiatives within the market, ensuring alignment with roadmap timelines. Manage the product roadmap, represent the product organization, and keep senior stakeholders informed of progress, issues, and trade-offs.Market Expertise Development: Build deep knowledge of payment systems, products, and verticals to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in acquiring (credit and debit cards), omnichannel solutions, Alternative Payment Methods (APMs), and Value-Added Services such as Payment Optimization and FX.Business Case Development: Create robust business cases for product strategies by gathering and validating internal and external data. Collaborate with broader product teams to prioritize initiatives effectively.Resource Planning: Oversee product prioritization and engineering resource planning. Maintain an understanding of development timelines, potential trade-offs, and issues.Industry Engagement: Represent Worldpay at industry conferences and internal events. Engage with regional business development and solutions consultants to communicate trends and the company's value proposition.Go-to-Market Collaboration: Lead the execution of strategic initiatives aimed at increasing revenue in assigned markets. Work with commercialization teams to ensure effective marketing and partner engagement.Sales Support: Support regional Business Development (BD) and Relationship Management (RM) teams with ad-hoc requests. Participate in customer meetings and respond to RFPs as needed.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk, and Compliance. Manage external business partners effectively.Other related duties assigned as needed.Where You'll Own It
You'll be based in our APAC hub, situated in vibrant city centers and tech capitals. Our APAC team thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, working collaboratively with global teams and offices.
What You Bring Extensive hands-on experience in merchant acquiring and payment industries with a proven record of project and team leadership on a global scale.Demonstrated success in achieving strategic goals in an innovative, fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends. Previous strategy or management consulting experience is preferred but not essential.Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and propose innovative solutions. Flexibility, curiosity, and creativity are essential.4-10 years of experience in a cross-functional product management or strategy role within the financial or fintech sectors. Proven success in collaborating across teams and building relationships with senior stakeholders.A bachelor's degree in finance, business, engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
