Product Specialist - ValvesWeir MineralsPerthOnsitePurpose of Role: This is a pivotal role in connecting Weir with the mining industry, ensuring that the right valves are selected, offered and supplied to meet the specific demands of mining operations.The Product specialist contributes significantly to the mining industry by improving process efficiency, ensuring safety, and maintaining the integrity of the valves and its operations.Key Responsibilities:Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Drive Sales and Margins: Focus on field-based sales efforts to promote valve and automation products within the mining sector, aiming to increase sales and profit margins.Develop Strategies: Develop and execute annual strategies and budgets for valve and automation sales, aligning with the industry's needs.Build Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and customers, ensuring a strong presence in the market and understanding client requirements.Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to customers, assisting with product selection, problem-solving, and quote preparations.Market Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of the mining industry's processes and challenges, which allows them to recommend the most suitable valve solutions.Product Promotion: Responsible for promoting the benefits of their company's valves, such as enhanced safety measures, optimal process control, and maintenance reliability.Customer Support: Offer ongoing support and service to their clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term business relationships.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:SAP and Salesforce KnowledgeKnowledge of various mining applicationsValve product knowledgeSound understanding of processing in the mining industryAny equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives aboveQualification in Engineering is desirableWeir is committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
