About the roleThe Product Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Product Development Strategy including the planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritising product and member requirements, competitor analysis and product development and implementation support for HIF.
We are looking for a great communicator with strong commercial acumen, highly progressed analytical skills and a strong understanding of product portfolio management.
This role also provides direct support to the Head of Data and Products and works with key stakeholders to ensure revenue, profit and member satisfaction goals are met.
This role is open to applicants based in Perth and Melbourne.
Essential ResponsibilitiesDevelop business cases for changes to the product offering or its delivery to marketAssess and report on competitors, comparators, products or offers that have entered the market and how they compare to HIF's product offering and what impact it will have on HIFInvestigate current and emerging trends in the market and quickly identify opportunities and threats to be addressedIn conjunction with Head of Data and Products and key stakeholders, recommend product pricing and positioning strategiesRegularly report, analyse and provide insights to the Head of Data and Products and the Choice and Access Committee on product performanceIdentify areas of risk that could impact product performance and profitabilityGenerate new ideas that grow market share and improve member experience and identify product gaps and opportunities and determine feasibilitySupport the implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products – such as adjustments to benefitsUtilise relationship/stakeholder management skills to lead cross-functional teams to implement product changesWhat we're looking for in you:At least 2 years of product management or related experienceStrong commercial acumen, and highly progressed critical thinkingStrong project management skillsAbility to work under pressure in an agile and constantly changing environmentStrong stakeholder management skills, collaborative attitude with the ability to develop long-term positive relationshipsExcellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to think holisticallyTertiary qualification in Marketing, Commerce, Finance or related disciplineProduct management and new product development experienceProven history of ability to research, process and analyse dataBenefits12.5% superannuationSubsidised health insurance coverFlexibility of Working from Home (WFH) days, 9 Day Fortnight and Additional Purchased Leave programsProfessional Development and Training opportunities including study assistanceHeaps of great social events with our fun-hungry Social ClubPaid day off for your Birthday!Plenty of fun perks, such as bring your dog to work day, team building, lunch and learns, treat carts and more!About HIFAt HIF, we're not just a national brand - we're also a tight-knit team of 125 member-focused individuals who love what we do.
