About the role The Product Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Product Development Strategy including the planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritising product and member requirements, competitor analysis and product development and implementation support for HIF.
We are looking for a great communicator with strong commercial acumen, highly progressed analytical skills and a strong understanding of product portfolio management. This role also provides direct support to the Head of Data and Products and works with key stakeholders to ensure revenue, profit and member satisfaction goals are met.
This role is open to applicants based in Perth and Melbourne.
Essential Responsibilities: Develop business cases for changes to the product offering or its delivery to market.Assess and report on competitors, comparators, products or offers that have entered the market and how they compare to HIF's product offering and what impact it will have on HIF.Investigate current and emerging trends in the market and quickly identify opportunities and threats to be addressed.In conjunction with the Head of Data and Products and key stakeholders, recommend product pricing and positioning strategies.Regularly report, analyse and provide insights to the Head of Data and Products and the Choice and Access Committee on product performance.Identify areas of risk that could impact product performance and profitability.Generate new ideas that grow market share and improve member experience and identify product gaps and opportunities and determine feasibility.Support the implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products – such as adjustments to benefits.Utilise relationship/stakeholder management skills to lead cross-functional teams to implement product changes.What we're looking for in you: At least 2 years of product management or related experience.Strong commercial acumen, and highly progressed critical thinking.Strong project management skills.Ability to work under pressure in an agile and constantly changing environment.Strong stakeholder management skills, collaborative attitude with the ability to develop long-term positive relationships.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to think holistically.Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.Product management and new product development experience.Proven history of ability to research, process and analyse data.As a member of our team, you'll enjoy: 12.5% superannuation.Subsidised health insurance cover.Flexibility of Working from Home (WFH) days, 9 Day Fortnight and Additional Purchased Leave programs.Professional Development and Training opportunities including study assistance.Heaps of great social events with our fun-hungry Social Club.Paid day off for your Birthday!Plenty of fun perks, such as bring your dog to work day, team building, lunch and learns, treat carts and more!About HIF At HIF, we're not just a national brand - we're also a tight-knit team of 125 member-focused individuals who love what we do.
