Your Position: In this role, you'll specialise in technical assets and support activities within an automated picking solution warehouse. You'll ensure the optimal performance of assets, covering electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and warehouse control systems. Your main tasks will include organising modifications, corrective maintenance, and performance improvements of Vanderlande equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll provide expert advice on system performance and promote continuous improvement.
In addition, you'll also help develop site teams, enhancing their technical skills to meet service goals. During system outages, you'll take on technical leadership, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities:Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to minimise downtime and ensure optimal system performance.Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to keep equipment running efficiently and safely.Stay updated with the latest technologies and develop new methods to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.Contribute to strategic plans to enhance service delivery and support the distribution centre's goals.Lead training sessions to improve the technical skills of the service team.Promote a collaborative work environment and encourage open communication and teamwork.Develop and implement initiatives to enhance system performance, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency.Mentor junior technicians and support their professional growth.Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OH&S procedures.Conduct regular inventory audits and manage procurement system housekeeping.Support maintenance planning and analyse parts usage and asset performance.Facilitate effective relationships with all departments, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, and drive performance improvement.Support emergency escalations and ensure CMMS reporting compliance.Use analysis methods to determine maintenance demands and recommend critical spares holdings.Conduct thorough reviews during Root Cause Analysis and support maintenance planners and technicians.About YouThis role is perfect for someone who values collaboration, strives to add value, and has a passion for continuous improvement.
Preferred: Degree, diploma, or certificate in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.Proficient in CMMS/WMS/WCS and industry-related software.Experience with automated systems and strong electro-mechanical skills.Skilled in mechanical/electrical fault-finding and rectification, including field devices and mechanical components.Customer-oriented to minimise disruptions and ensure client satisfaction.Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and diagnostics.Proven leadership in supervising service teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to mentor and guide service team members.What we offerA competitive remuneration package will be offered to someone who is a team player with a positive, energetic attitude and work ethic as well as the ability to think outside the square.
