About the role Key cross-category collaborationBroad and varied product range - across office supplies, furniture and technology products.At Officeworks, our customers' satisfaction and safety with our wide and varied product range is a priority ensuring products sold at Officeworks meet and exceed customer expectations.
We are excited to recruit for this key and business critical role ensuring our compliance with all legal product quality and safety requirements.
Ensuring the implementation and continuous improvement of product quality initiatives build brand trust, manage risk and deliver on our corporate objectives, this role will champion product quality and safety standards for Officeworks.
Facilitating and implementing best practice safety and quality standards, this key role will include factory auditing and corrective action management, policy and standards development, and incident investigation including internal reporting on supplier compliance.
Key areas of focus: Support the strategic and long-term direction of quality assurance and control, and product safety initiatives.Maintain a clear risk management framework relating to technical, quality, product safety, and reputational risk.Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a best practice quality assurance program designed to move towards total quality management.Support a consistent framework across different buying models for buying teams, global sourcing team and appointed agent for assessing new products, outlining testing, and product safety and compliance requirements.Support product testing protocols, auditing and monitoring standards for new and existing products.Provide regular feedback to manufacturers and suppliers to ensure implementation of corrective action in support of continuous improvement of quality.Monitor performance of products, support product investigations and improve effective early warning systems and control measures to reduce risk.Support the strategic management of second and third party service providers ensuring consistent delivery whilst maximising value.Liaison with industry groups and relevant authorities ensuring suitable Officeworks representation and alignment.About you For this pivotal commercial lead role, our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in product compliance, product certification and quality assurance management.
A demonstrable knowledge of Australian and international technical standards and compliance will be essential.
As a leader, you drive with purpose and foster a culture of learning, development and the highest operational standards.
You enjoy sharing your knowledge and supporting an engaged and collaborative team culture.
Key skills and attributes: Established product compliance, product certification and quality assurance management experience.Experience coordinating a broad ranging and dynamic sourcing portfolio with a focus on product safety and compliance.Experience liaising with all management levels and a diverse range of stakeholders.Strong organisational, planning and project management skills.Highly analytical with ability to interpret complex data and use effective research and reporting tools.Knowledge of product safety and compliance drivers.Our culture It's all in a day's work when you're part of the Officeworks community - where you're not defined by who you are, but what you can do.
