About the role
The Product Performance Analyst plays a pivotal role in optimising product performance to align with strategic goals. This role provides support, analysis and insight to the development, implementation, and execution of our product and pricing strategy across lending and deposits. This includes providing in-depth analytical insights of PNL's products and comparison to market, including the development of recommendations related to interest rates, portfolio mix and growth, margin management and product development opportunities.
Working as part of an inclusive and collaborative team your key responsibilities will include:
Manage day to day product performance ensuring alignment with business objectives Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance portfolio outcomes, including analytics and insight support for Pricing Committee Contribute to the development of new products and product enhancements through recommendations based on market insights and analysis of product performance Monitor competitor activities to identify market trends and opportunities recommend and inform product and pricing strategies Own and deliver financial & analytical modelling and forecasting on behalf of the products team Recommend product or pricing levers supported by data driven insights as required. Identify potential issues, provide recommendations to maintain strong growth, manage customer expectations, ensure market competitiveness and manage appropriate pricing margins Build effective internal and external business relationships to gather pricing information and ensure alignment with objectives Work closely with our Data team to define requirements for reporting and ad hoc analysis, leveraging data to drive efficiency, informed decisions and actionable insights What will you bring? Previous experience undertaking product and pricing analyst functions to ensure achievement of organisational objectives Previous project management experience, executing change and managing cross functional stakeholders Proficiency or previous experience in financial & analytical modelling and forecasting Knowledge of finance, marketing and retail & business bank products Strong stakeholder management including influencing and communication skills; ability to negotiate with key stakeholders, presentation and facilitation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex information in a clear, concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to interrogate data to find potential issues and provide solutions / recommendations. Ability to analyse large amounts of data to inform decision making Ability to be pragmatic and solve problems with a stakeholder/customer experience focus Deep knowledge of MS Excel required, PowerPivot or Power Query an advantage High level analytical and qualitative skills, including data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI and/or similar) Demonstrated ability to lead and implement the acceptance of change and new initiatives Degree qualification in business, data and analytics / related field or equivalent desirable What we can offer you
